Metro Mondego will reinforce the Metrobus service operation during the São João da Lousã 2026 festivities, responding to the expected increase in demand and ensuring better mobility conditions for residents and visitors of the region.

The increased service will be implemented on the suburban section between Vale de Açor and Lousã Estação stations, with the following operating plan:

June 20th (Saturday):

• Between 7:00 PM and 1:00 AM: Metrobus with a frequency of 30 minutes, in both directions.

 June 21st (Sunday):

• Between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM: Metrobus with a frequency of 30 minutes, in both directions.

• Between 7:00 PM and 12:00 AM: Metrobus with a frequency of 15 minutes, in both directions.

 June 23rd and 24th (Tuesday and Wednesday):

• Between 8:00 PM and 1:00 AM: Metrobus service every 15 minutes, in both directions.

 The alternative service to the Metrobus between Serpins and Lousã-Estações will also be reinforced.

The increased service will be implemented on the following days and times:

June 20th (Saturday):

• Extra departures from Serpins: 8:48 PM, 9:48 PM and 10:48 PM.

• Extra departures from Lousã-Estação: 10:25 PM, 11:25 PM and 12:25 AM.

 June 21st (Sunday):

• Extra departures from Serpins: 8:48 PM, 9:48 PM and 10:48 PM.

• Extra departures from Lousã-Station: 10:50 PM, 11:50 PM and 12:45 AM.

 June 23rd and 24th (Tuesday and Wednesday):

• Extra departures from Serpins: 8:18 PM, 9:18 PM and 10:18 PM.

• Extra departures from Lousã-Station: 10:25 PM, 11:25 PM and 12:25 AM.

 With these reinforcements, Metro Mondego aims to guarantee a more convenient, frequent service, better suited to travel needs during one of the region's busiest events.

Outside these periods, the regular service schedules remain in effect.
