As part of the development of construction work on the urban section of the Metrobus, under the responsibility of Infraestruturas de Portugal, it will be necessary to interrupt from Monday, October 14th, circulation on the descending lane of Avenida Sá da Bandeira.
The image shows the scheme of alternative road circuits during the intervention, which has an estimated duration of 14 days.
Thus, road traffic between Praça da República and Baixa is carried out along the ascending lane of Avenida Sá da Bandeira, which will have an ascending lane and a descending lane along its entire length.
The flow coming from Baixa towards Celas will be diverted to Rua Oliveira Matos after the Teatro Académico Gil Vicente, continuing along Rua Castro Matoso, Rua de Tomar and Rua Pedro Monteiro. The aim is to ensure that there is no intersection between this flow and that coming from Rua Alexandre Herculano towards Baixa, which will then be able to turn left when it reaches Praça da República.
The road alternatives to Rua Tenente Valadim are Rua João de Deus in the direction of Praça da República, and Rua do Instituto Maternal in the opposite direction.
With regard to loading and unloading and people with reduced mobility, access to the areas affected by this intervention will be permitted according to the possibilities arising from the progress of the work.
The work to be carried out in this intervention is as follows:
- Road Technical Channel;
- Road paving and laying of curbstones.
