As part of the MetroBus works on the Alto de São João – Portagem section, new changes to traffic at the Artur Paredes Roundabout will come into effect from Monday, March 17, coinciding with the reopening of Rua General Humberto Delgado (between this roundabout and the ACIC Roundabout).
The image shows a schematic representation of the new phase of the restrictions, which is estimated to last 75 days.
Access to Alameda Infante Dom Pedro via the Artur Paredes Roundabout will therefore be temporarily interrupted. Alternatively, Ladeira do Chão do Bispo (with temporary traffic in both directions) and Rua Padre António Nogueira should be used.
Access for residents of Rua General Humberto Delgado and the CEPSA gas station will be guaranteed from Elísio de Moura.
This intervention will complement the ongoing work on Rua General Humberto Delgado and Avenida Fernando Namora and will cover the following activities:
- Implementation of water supply, sanitation and telecommunications infrastructure;
- Urban integration;
- Paving.
Pedestrian circulation around the roundabout under intervention will be maintained with a similar configuration to the current one, and will be permanently monitored to ensure circulation conditions and safety.
To minimize impacts, we recommend using apps such as Google Maps and Waze, which already reflect these changes and help you find the best route in real time.
