As part of the construction work on the urban section of the Metrobus Avenida Aeminium – Hospital Pediátrico, under the responsibility of Infraestruturas de Portugal, from Wednesday, June 5th, road traffic in the downward direction of Avenida Sá da Bandeira will be restored from the confluence between Rua Padre António Vieira and Rua da Manutenção Militar.
The image shows the scheme of alternative road circuits during the intervention, which has an estimated duration of 133 days.
Thus, road traffic between Baixa and Praça da República will continue to run along the ascending lane of Avenida Sá da Bandeira and will continue to be diverted to Rua Oliveira Matos after the Académico Gil Vicente theater.
Road traffic between Praça da República and Avenida Sá da Bandeira (until the confluence with Rua Padre António Vieira) will continue to have an ascending and a descending lane.
With regard to loading and unloading and people with reduced mobility, access to the areas affected by this intervention will be permitted according to the possibilities arising from the progress of the work.
The work to be carried out in this intervention is as follows:
- Interventions in Águas de Coimbra infrastructures, namely in the water supply, residual drainage and rainwater drainage networks;
- SLATs (Automatic Traffic Lighting System);
- Road Technical Channel;
- Road paving and laying of curbstones;
- Urban Integration;
- Affected Services;
- Signaling.
