Following the completion of the final construction work on the Alto de São João – Portagem urban section, managed by Infraestruturas de Portugal, it will be necessary to implement traffic restrictions on the connection between Rua da Casa Branca and Avenida Fernando Namora. This is essential for the safe execution of the work, which will begin this Tuesday, September 30th, and is estimated to last seven days.
The intervention consists of installing a traffic separation island at the entrance to the Metrobus roundabout, to make traffic flow more intuitive and thus increase safety.
The road alternatives, as well as pedestrian crossings, will be clearly marked on site and follow the diagrams shown in the images.
Access for residents, as well as emergency vehicles and/or essential services, will be guaranteed.
We appreciate all residents' understanding regarding these restrictions and urge them to adhere to the temporary signage to ensure safety and the smooth execution of the work.
To facilitate adaptation to this new phase of work and minimize potential impacts on traffic, we recommend using navigation apps such as Waze or Google Maps. These platforms already include information about temporary changes, allowing drivers to choose the most appropriate routes in real time.
