Following the development of construction work on the Alto de São João – Portagem urban section, under the responsibility of Infraestruturas de Portugal, this Thursday, July 4th, traffic conditioning will be implemented on Rua General Humberto Delgado, on the connection between ACIC Rotunda and Artur Paredes Rotunda.
The image presents a schematic representation of conditioning in the first 30 days.
The main constraints arising from conditioning are the following:
Interruption of road traffic in the segment of Rua General Humberto Delgado between the ACIC roundabout and the Rotunda Artur Paredes (with exclusive access to residents and users of the CEPSA fuel station via its eastern top);
Prohibition of access to the western side of Rua General Humberto Delgado via the ACIC roundabout, for the flow of traffic traveling in a south-north direction on Rua João de Deus Ramos;
Conditioning access to the CEPSA fuel filling station, whose entrances and exits will be through the same passage.
After this 30-day phase, it will be possible to ensure circulation around the entire ACIC Rotunda, with access to the western side of Rua General Humberto Delgado being allowed for all flows that will circulate in this roundabout.
This intervention covers the following activities:
Execution of infrastructures:
o Drainage;
o Rainfall;
o Sanitation;
o Electrical;
Urban integration;
Paving.
Although no significant impacts are expected on pedestrian routes, they will be permanently monitored, in order to provide them with the best circulation and safety conditions. All homes in the intervention area will have access available, both by road and pedestrian, for emergency services, police forces and protection agents.
Considering the various constraints inherent to the work in progress, within the scope of construction works on the infrastructures of the Mondego Mobility System, it is recommended to use navigation aids, such as Waze and Google Maps, where the constraints are included. , this way you can always know the best route in real time.
