On Wednesday, March 4th, a new phase of the Metrobus works will begin in the Celas area, concerning the Avenida Aeminium - Pediatric Hospital section, promoted by Infraestruturas de Portugal.

This new phase of the works will focus on Alameda Calouste Gulbenkian, between Praça Machado de Assis and Largo da Cruz de Celas, with the traffic changes shown in the attached image.

During the intervention, estimated to last two and a half months, both directions of traffic on Alameda Calouste Gulbenkian will be on the east side.

The current parking next to the commercial area of ​​the avenue will no longer be available, but access for emergency vehicles will be guaranteed.

If it is impossible to maintain all existing pedestrian routes, pedestrians will be properly directed to the nearest crosswalk.

The works to be carried out are:

• Construction of rainwater and wastewater collectors;

• Construction of the Metrobus channel;

• Traffic light installation;

• Construction of a pedestrian crossing for public lighting;

• Urban integration;

• Paving.

Metro Mondego appeals to the public for their understanding regarding the temporary inconveniences that this phase may cause.
